Your privacy, in plain words.

This page explains what hellomachine.ai collects when you visit it and what happens to anything you send us. The short version: we count visits without tracking you, and the only personal information we receive is what you choose to email us.

Who we are

Hello Machine is a design and technology studio based in Austin, Texas. We're responsible for this website and for the information described here.

For anything about your privacy, email david@hellomachine.ai. A person will reply.

When you browse the site

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are useful. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't follow you across other websites and doesn't build a profile of you. We see totals, such as how many people opened the pricing page and roughly which country they came from, never who they were.

Like every website host, Vercel keeps short-lived technical logs, including IP addresses, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We don't use them to identify visitors.

The site sets no cookies, shows no ads and loads no tracking pixels. Fonts and pictures are served from our own domain, so opening a page doesn't contact Google, social networks or any other third party.

When you build a plan or contact us

The plan builder on the Start page doesn't send or store anything. It writes an email in your own mail app, and nothing leaves your device until you press send.

When you email us, we receive what you wrote: your name, your email address, your company and anything you tell us about the project. We use it to reply, to prepare a proposal and to run any work we agree on. Our email is hosted by Google Workspace.

We keep these emails for as long as we're talking or working together, and afterwards only as long as we need them for our records, accounting or legal obligations.

What we never do

We don't sell or rent your information, add you to a mailing list without asking, or share it with anyone except the services that help us run the studio, such as our email and hosting providers, under their own privacy terms.

When you hire us, client data we work with is covered by our agreement with you, not by this page.

Your choices

You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email david@hellomachine.ai and we'll answer within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or US state privacy laws, and we'll honour them.

Changes

If we change how the site handles information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
